HOW IT STARTED
I have always had a background in woodworking since I was kid and grew up building small projects in my dad’s shop. I remember the first big project my dad and I created together, a porch swing. To this day, we still have this swing and have no plans to ever get rid of it. This only fueled my love for woodworking to where I am today. I get most of my design ideas from my wife Brittany, as she is great at design and composition ideas. I just figure out how to make her designs come to life.
WHO WE ARE
Hi there! We are Brandon and Brittany, the owners of Dust To Life Woodworks, LLC. We are a small business that is looking to expand our brand recognition to reach new customers and give God glory during that process.
HOW WE GOT OUR NAME
We have to give all glory to God. I had been praying if God wanted us to take this business to the next level, for God to give us a name. So, for about a week I looked around online for names, tried to come up with my own name, bounced ideas off Brittany, but none of them stood out. When I began praying for God to help in this, I specifically asked him if we were to move forward with this, that he give us a name that will ultimately glorify him. And he did just that! One afternoon Brittany and I were traveling home from town and had the radio turned low on a local Christian radio station. We were talking and we both heard the same thing at the same time…”dust to life”. We both stopped and looked at each other. We both said we heard the name and I asked her to look up the lyrics to the song. She did and the actual lyrics was similar, but not those exact words, but we heard “dust to life”. God spoke to us and just like he brought Adam and Eve from dust to life by breathing his life into them, he is bringing us and our business from Dust To Life. We now have the story that gives God glory anytime someone asks us about the name.
